Singapore Youth Olympics Games 2010 Logo

Tried to design the SYOG logo and managed to submitted the design for the logo competition...hehe...any comments?
Here is the design rationale:
" The designed Singapore Youth Olympic Games 2010 logo is comprised of 4 main elements: The Orchid, The Wordmark, The Sea and The Olympic Rings.

The Orchid, Vanda Miss Joaquim, being the national flower of Singapore is the main design element. The 5 petals represent the 5 continents of the world and follow the color of the 5 Olympic rings. The center of the orchid is the outline of Singapore Island, colored in green for its reputation as a Garden City. The lines inside the 5 petals signify the gathering of people, especially the youth athletes from around the world in Singapore. These youth, in the spirit of Olympism, will emerge as athletes of excellence and persons of impeccable character. As depicted by the last petal of the orchid, 5 golden stars emerging from Singapore.

The wordmarks “Singapore 2010” and “Youth Olympic Games” are colored in vibrant orange and in small caps to signify the youthful aspect.

The stylistic representation of the Sea forms the background, emphasizing the island character of Singapore.

The Olympic Rings at the bottom of the logo signifies the foundation laid for the first Youth Olympic Games."
