a poem

found this untitled poem written by my friend benny on his blog...abt the tsunami...since related ot my project...i shall post it...(haha...more like he ask me to help him "broadcast")...

Underneath the clear blue waters,
Void of fish and life,
The earth shook, the ground split,
.
Like pebble dropped in the pond,
Forming a ripple of shock,
The water rise, its force gathering,
.
In the deep seas of life,
The fishes knew and swam hard,
Yet in desperation, cornered, perished.
.
Across the immense ocean,
The fishmen marvel in their catch,
In their joy, oblivious of doom,
.
Then came the giant waves,
Full of wrath and anger,
Swept the bewildered, the ignorant
.
Merciless, the face of nature,
Yet misunderstood, not heartless,
For its warnings are but unheeded,
.
In the desolation and destruction,
It is still not all darkness,
For light is eternal in faith and hope,
.
As the cries of despair echoed,
Despair had all but won,
For there is compassion and love,
.
From strangers, and the merciful,
Amidst chaos, thus a treasure was found,
In human nature, truly heartening

crit over...WOHA?hmmm...

finally crit is over...was quite kan cheong b4 the crit...then the whole crit was quite alrite...just that after i present my initial concept n stuff proceed on to my building...to explain the circulation stuff...the crit panel (tse n chan) got confused cos everything is skew and slanted...then i have to quickly bring them to my model then start to take the mass part by part to show the ramp n stuff...and then also with the help of my 3d walkthrough then finally
see"light"...haha

some of the "funny/weird" comment... mrs chan: " yaya that FUTURE architecture" (cos i actually classified my program to past, present & future for my arrangement of my programs...as i was also referring to the geo-strata where the oldest bedrock n located deep below...)...mrs tse:"...so the visitors can go down to the VOID...wat if they fall off the cliff?...does the VOID space needs maintainance?" (the VOID...its a gorge that i create on the site) and some weird things that say...haha...

well at least the crit was not hat bad when ong din sabo my crit...but did help abit...and after the crit mrs tse actually say "very good, yuzhou"...was quite surprised...and then she called me today to recommended me to work in WOHA...think i will go send email to probably test my market rate? ahah...

now got to wait for the external crit...think its kerry hill and tan kay ngee for the local...bryan lawson n another one (can't remember the name) from UK...next week...during the elections period i guess (if there isn't any changes)

my thesis project fly through clip

finally over & i'm broke

finally submitted the model , thesis and report and portfolio...finally....phew...time to have a good rest...

had a hectic submission this time...and really expensive submission think in totla spend abt 400-500 plus...haiz...
top on the list...presentation panels 160, model conoturs (styrofoam board) 100 plus, pringin of thesis report and portfolio stuff....100 plus, A1 sleeves 60 plus...and etc...haiz broke liaoz...

and have to say a BIG THANKS to KEITH & BEN who help me with my model...owe u guys a big time...will give both of u a treat when i had the money...hehe THANKS...

ahhh...panels submitted

ah...finally today submitted my thesis project presentation panels...and few more days to go...cos to do model and also type thesis project report...luckily keith is helping out with my model...thanx keith

after next week...everything will be more or less over...left with external critique examination

will upload my panels images soon

it will be on this coming monday afternoon...although i told them i got a job offer le...haha...will go and see wat they r offering bah ...

20 more days to submission

got the final presentation schedule last thurs, which will be on 26th april...the internal crit panel consist of my 2 tutors and the other 2 "motherly" tutors in our department...cyl & tsl...not sure whether is it a good sign or not...cos they r more on the conservative sides...and very picky on drawings...hahabut then...they r motherly figures...so...hopefully...nothign bad will happen...=)
