quite accurate

You are a Director

As a DIRECTOR, you combine an unusual openness and passion for beauty and style with confidence and a down-to-earth sensibility that allow you to realize your vision.

You are practical and pay attention to the details that others tend to miss.

By focusing on what is real and concrete, you achieve more than those who always have their heads in the clouds.

When it comes to what really matters in your life, you are confident in your ability to succeed.

Having beautiful things in your life gives you pleasure and satisfaction - you have a keen eye for style.

Even when problems present themselves, deep down you know you will overcome these challenges.

When routines get too familiar, you become bored and start looking for ways to spice things up.

You are open to new types of experiences – you are not afraid to take a risk on something new.

You have a highly developed sense of taste – you know what looks good on you, in your home, and in the world at large.

You're not one to force your positions on a group, and you tend to be fair in evaluating different options.

If you want to be different:

Occasionally let yourself dream a little more, even if it doesn't seem practical or efficient.

how you relate to others
You are Concerned

Your understanding of others' emotions, your sense of right and wrong, and your skeptical nature make you CONCERNED.

Your observations of your environment, in concert with your clearly defined worldview, leads you to be aware of the feelings of others.

Because you can read people well, and because you can understand their feelings, you are often bothered by others' insensitive behavior.

While you appreciate others' emotional nature, you don't think their emotional concerns should take precedence over their obligations to society.

You prefer to be in smaller groups, as big groups can occasionally get out of hand.

Order and structure are somewhat important to you—you believe that people's feelings are better protected when others are respectful and follow certain societal guidelines.

You tend to share your feelings with a few individuals who are close with you, but otherwise you are a somewhat private person.

You're not one to force your positions on a group, and you tend to be fair in evaluating different options.

If you want to be different:

Let your caring nature allow you to put more trust in people in general—you can have more faith in them without losing your valuable skepticism.

Handwriting Analysis

What does your handwriting say about YOU?

The results of your analysis say:
You plan ahead, and are interested in beauty, design, outward appearance, and symmetry. You are a shy, idealistic person who does not find it easy to have relationships, especially intimate ones. You are diplomatic, objective, and live in the present. You are not very reserved, impatient, self-confident and fond of action. You enjoy life in your own way and do not depend on the opinions of others.

external critique

had my external critique yesterday...my panel was tan kay ngee and bryan lawson from UK
well...its was an alrite crit bah...they din really crit much on my project per se...but they were more on like why i din approach from the calm...poetic approach...rather than trying to evoke "horror" through the spaces...the idea of anticipation...the calm b4 the storm ...like alfred hitchcock movie...also pointed a place in turkey...where a whole ancient city was submerge below water...due to earthquake...when u visit it...u only see the view of the calm shimmering waters..unless u peer down n see the ruins of the city...the foot prints...the calm..poetic contemplative mood...(they say this comes with age...hmmm....)
kay ngee pointed out that probably i designed in that manner cos it looks in vogue...(ahhh!!!) comparing the design to a painting done by a German painter...on iceberg...the shards and stuff
they also touch on the point on why i din engage with the water...the significance of the tidal wave...the height of the highest tsunami wave...etc....
well in the end...commented that i was a competent student...and that i could do better in the future...hmmm...is it good or bad???

ong & ong? any more firms

ah...i was surprised to received an email from ong tze boon, my thesis project tutor (who was too bz then we had another tutor to supervise us for our last leg), to invite me to join his company ong&ong architects (http://www.ong-ong.com/) and to be under his team...

now i wonder did i accept rsp architects (http://www.rsp.com.sg/) offer too early??? not to forget that i was approach by cpg (http://www.cpgcorp.com.sg/intro.html) previously as recommended to by my "relief" tutor mr cheah kok ming (which i turned down...cos din wanna work in a semi-govt company). also my yr 3 tutor a/p tse swee ling recommend me to apply for WOHA (http://www.wohadesigns.com/).

all these firms have their own strength ... WOHA known for their design n details, rsp more for urban design (mainly in China, somemore liu thai ker is the director), ong&ong more for reputation and residential (establish by the late mr ong teng cheong)...

will plan to go for interview at WOHA/ong&ong...to see wat they r offering...=)
