New album released on 8 Sep '06: 周杰伦 《依然范特西》

Song list (曲目)

Jay's new album is out. After hearing the whole album, the general feeling is that the ablum is has a strong chi-na feel to it (more like 30's-40's old shanghai feel, from his retro-inspired image), or you can say 中国风. From 千里之外 (a duet with 费玉清), 本草纲目(inspired by ancient chinese herbs list), 迷迭香 (a shanghai-broadway inspired song) & 菊花台 ( avery 琼瑶 tv-serial theme song 编曲). Not to forget his usual hip-hop, rap @ mumbling songs which resemble to his other songs in the past, eg. Anyway not to be missed is his r&b ballards, the recommended are 退后 & 心雨 ( their feel can be compared to 借口 & 搁浅, somemore same composers, if i'm not wrong). Its a sure must buy for all die-hard jay fans out there =)

New Album released on 8 Sep '06: 张信哲 《做你的男人》

Song List (曲目):
10. 晴天

A long awaited album from Jeff Chang . Went with Ee Meng to get it from orchard cd-rama on its 1st day of release (same day as Jay). Its another Jeff characteristic album (非常张信哲的一张专辑), must be catered towards his fans (including me & Ee Meng...haha). A album with all 10 tracks of ballards no wonder he's crowned the prince of ballard This time round he seems to be more "flamboyant" in his 高音. In the song 后悔的借口, he sounded quite like 林志炫, probably in the way he uses the 高音 & 转音 technique. Among the tracks the few highly recommended are 做你的男人 (uploaded on my blog...hehe), 说谎 (a very typical jeff's ballard...thumbs up), 不由自主 (a more up-beat song composed by F.I.R.) and these 2 songs 远方 & 晴天 (both songs are the 激励 & 感动 type).
